Hello cobblers!

This is a double celebratory day in literary history; not only is it Alfred, Lord Tennyson’s birthday, but it is also the date in which the first installment of George R. R. Martin‘s series A Song of Ice and Fire was published in 1996. We celebrate this with a quote from the first novel, A Game of Thrones.

If you’ve read all the released novels, are up to date on the television adaptation, but still need more Martin in your life, then Literary Cobblestones has you covered.

Nothing makes me feel cooler for my literary ‘nerd-ness’ than an author being featured in Rolling Stone. Here’s Martin’s Rolling Stone interview: “George R. R. Martin, The Rolling Stone Interview”.

If you’ve got an hour to spare, then watch TIFF’s interview with George: “George R. R. Martin | Master Class | Higher Learning”.

Read on.
