Today in literary history, author and Pulitzer Prize winner, Alison Lurie was born in 1926.
I’m new to Lurie, but I’ve quickly fallen in love with her work. Here’s a more recent piece (2013) from the New Yorker: “The Sweater Curse.”
Sounds like a bit of a contradiction, but here’s a video radio interview with Lurie: “Alison Lurie Interview-The Language of Houses.”
For a virtual book club experience, check out her work and the opinion of it from other readers on Goodreads: “Goodreads: Alison Lurie.”

Good day, my friends.
